Monitor Problem Maintenance Procedure

For all monitors, the trouble shooting procedure is basically all the same no matter what trouble comes out.
I. Knowledge of Problem Information

1.Problem Symptom Detailed Information
The observable problem symptom basically include: if there are raster display and image, if image is stable, if color is normal, if raster display is tossing, if there is striking fire internal display tube, if there is abnormal noise and smell internal monitor.

2.Environmental Influence Before and After Problem
If there is abnormal for environment, it will interfere monitor and influence its normal working, it will be very difficult to solve problem caused by environment. For example: if power supply is stable, if there is climate influence, if there is strong electric field or magnetic field around the monitor.
　
II. Preliminary Inspection
1.Appearance Inspection
With power off, check if there is scratch on the outside of the monitor, if the contact of plug, switch and all buttons of the monitor are good without any damage.

2. Power On Inspection
After power on, check carefully if there is striking fire internal display tube, if there is abnormal noise, smell etc. internal monitor. If there is any abnormal situation, cut off electricity right away.

3.Image Inspection
After confirmation of normal working state with power on, then confirm if the image is stable, if the color is normal, if the raster display is tossing, if the image depth is clearly demarcated, if there is color loss and color cast etc. At the same time, adjust brightness, chroma and contrast etc. buttons repeatedly, and observe problem change situation, care of each detail especially, then make analysis and decision.

III. Make Sure Monitor Problem
When monitor works normally under power on, if the word disappears suddenly and screen turns to black, then cut off electricity right away, and plug off power cord of monitor with PC at the first moment, in case of normal components damage.
If such phenomenon appears, first confirm if it is problem of the monitor.

1. Connect monitor with another PC, if word appears on monitor and screen displays normally, there must be problem for PC, but not problem for monitor.

2.Go with the same operation, if there is no word on the monitor, and check there is no question for power cord, there must be problem for monitor and find available solution for the problem.

IV. Maintenance and Components Change
If circumstance permitted, repair the monitor yourself with special attention. If without monitor general knowledge, you had better not assemble or repair the monitor yourself.

1. If the problem components are adjustable, adjust the components again, because for some components, if reassemble after repair, the problem can be solved by adjustment.

2. If the reason of problem is for disconnection of wire, then replace connecting wire or weld available connecting wire on printed circuit board.

3. For the problem caused by components damage, then replace with new components, and components specifications must be same as original components.
